San Diego Outlets at the Border
San Diego, California
This 44-store outlet center is located on an 8-acre parcel immediately to the east of ACRM Architects designed Las Americas Premium Outlets and is aligned to be an extension of the existing pedestrian mall. Once $700 million of improvements to the world’s busiest international border crossing at San Ysidro are complete in 2015, this 140,000 square foot outlet center will be directly adjacent to the new south bound lanes and at the terminus of a new international pedestrian bridge. Designed to be the new front door for this international pedestrian travel, the center reflects the international nature of the site with a distinguished contemporary style. The mall design reflects ACRM’s hospitality design sense and includes several plazas and focal points with comfortable seating areas that allow the shopper to slow down and extend the time spent at this destination outlet center. This project is a development of The Shamrock Group.
