One Eleven Town Center
Palm Desert, California
This is a renovation and addition to a 165,000 SF, 12 building shopping center located on Highway 111, the major artery connecting the cities of the Coachella Valley. The shopping center was only 30% occupied after a long time anchor store, Best Buy, relocated. The new design has attracted major new anchor tenants including Whole Foods – the first location in the valley – Nordstrom Rack and Home Goods. The new buildings were oriented to maximize the Highway 111 frontage, and which includes an expansive trellis covered outdoor dining patio. Existing buildings were renovated to integrate with the Spanish Colonial design of the new buildings with finishes consisting of dual pane clear glass windows, smooth finish stucco, reclaimed wood trellises, clay tile roofs and stone veneer on the columns and wainscots.
