In 2014, architects Tom Awbrey RA, Scot McGill RA, Maria Ruiz-Ostmeyer RA, and project designer Dennis Rogers RA broke ground at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and J Street in the Gaslamp Quarter. Now, the highly-anticipated Pendry Hotel San Diego is almost complete and scheduled to open 1st quarter of 2017.
Pendry Hotel, which is managed by Montage Hotels founder and CEO Alan J. Fuerstman, chose San Diego to debut the first of several boutique “lifestyle” hotels. Topping the Pendry’s list of non-negotiables: simple luxury, clean design, well-crafted restaurant experiences, vibrant bars and the perfect balance of polished comfort and modern edge. It’s fair to say that the 12-story, $100 million-plus design by ACRM Architects delivers on all of the above.
Pendry San Diego is conveniently situated between Petco Park, the San Diego Convention Center and all the shopping, restaurants and nightlife that make the historic Gaslamp Quarter such a unique destination.
The anticipation for the grand opening was published in Discover San Diego this week. Check out the article:
