ACRM Architects is excited to announce that Karen Vall de Ruten-Soldi is one of our newest Project Managers.
Karen is a registered architect in California, she has worked in the design/construction field for over 25 years. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and has worked in interior and lighting design for about ten years before she came to San Diego and received a Master’s degree in Architecture with a minor in Urbanism. She did study abroad for a semester in Denmark, where she studied modern interior architecture.
Karen’s passion for sustainability in architecture and interiors has taken her to pursue several certifications like LEED AP and WELL AP. She has worked in many LEED Silver and Gold Certified Buildings, Net Zero, and WELL Certified workspaces. She believes we can impact our world’s future by making small changes in our design and teaching our clients about best practices in sustainability.
Karen has vast experience working on various project types, including commercial, hospitality, institutional, educational, military, and residential.
She loves playing indoor volleyball and is an active player, participating in several local leagues and a couple of out-of-state tournaments. Karen enjoys traveling with her family and experiencing diverse cultures; they love driving and exploring new beaches in Baja California, Mexico.
